Phil Madley

Phil Madley is an innovative, contemporary artist working with encaustic wax techniques to create original and unique paintings. His individual works of art challenge and engage his audience at different aesthetic and emotional levels, generated by the artist's choice of media and creative vein.
Phil exhibits his paintings in galleries, art exhibitions and art fairs including the Open Studios showcase for visual arts in Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire. He also undertakes private commissions for art collectors and enthusiasts as well as commissions for corporate environments and public spaces.
Phil gives lectures, talks and live demonstrations on the art of encaustic wax painting. He teaches art courses at Missenden Abbey near Amersham and at schools and colleges throughout Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire, where he guides students through the techniques of using encaustic wax.
